Powai suits a low-pressure lake-and-garden outing with a meal in the
neighbourhood. Powai Lake and Nirvana Park offer different experiences and
separate access conditions; the best plan is flexible enough to enjoy just
one.

GETTING AROUND
BMC identifies Kanjurmarg as a useful rail connection for Powai, followed by
road travel. Choose the exact public lake viewpoint or Nirvana Park gate, not
a pin in the centre of the lake.

IF IT RAINS
Both main outdoor stops can be affected by slippery surfaces and poor weather.
Keep an indoor meal as the fallback and avoid approaching the water.

POWAI LAKE
Powai Lake, Jogeshwari–Vikhroli Link Road / Powai lakefront, Powai, Mumbai.
Hours: No single current public-promenade timetable was verified. Choose a
daylight visit to an established public stretch and follow local access
notices; adjoining campus, hotel and restricted land have separate rules.
Price: No implemented general lake-viewing tariff was established in this
review. June 2026 reporting concerns proposed ticketing, not proof that a fee
is now collected. Transport and food are separate.
Ages: Ages 6+
Tip: Agree on a fixed turnaround point before starting; the child need not
walk around the lake to enjoy it.

NIRVANA PARK
Nirvana Park, Central Avenue, Hiranandani Gardens, opposite the Powai Plaza
area, Powai, Mumbai 400076.
Hours: Nirvana’s current gate timetable remains unverified. The Hiranandani
page’s 5:30–9am and 4–10pm hours belong to Heritage Garden, a different park.
Check Nirvana’s own notice before travelling.
Price: No authoritative current admission tariff was verified. Check the
garden gate; do not import another Hiranandani garden’s charge or hours.
Ages: Ages 3+
Tip: Ask staff about the pond boundary and any closed paths on arrival.

venue.
