What our guides are for
Peekago helps parents and carers decide where to go with their children and how to make the day work. We write about the things that decide whether an outing goes well: which ages it suits, how long to allow, indoor or outdoor, heat and crowds, queues, toilets and baby-changing, food, getting there and what it costs in ₹.
How a guide is researched and written
- Research from published sources. We start from official sources where they exist — the venue or organiser's own website and notices, civic and park authorities, museums and tourism boards — and well-established references. The sources used for a place are listed on that page, so you can check them yourself.
- AI-assisted drafting. We use AI tools to help organise research into a first draft in our house structure. A draft is never published as it comes out of the tool.
- Human review, shown on the page. An editor checks a place's facts against its cited sources, removes unsupported claims and makes sure age-fit and practical notes are specific rather than generic. A place our team has checked shows “Checked” with the date. One we haven't checked yet says “Not yet checked by our team”, so you know to confirm the details with the venue.
- No invented facts. We don't make up prices, timings, distances or reviews. Where details change often — ticket prices, opening hours, event dates — we say so and point you to the official source to confirm before you go.
Venue and event submissions
Venues and organisers can list a venue or submit an event for free. Submissions are checked against official sources before they appear, may be edited for clarity, and are written in our own words. Being submitted by the venue does not change how we describe it.
Photos
Most photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their stated licences (such as Creative Commons). The photographer credit and licence are shown on each image, linking back to the original file, and listed on our photo credits page. Photos illustrate a place; they are not staged or promotional images supplied by businesses. We do not publish photos in which children can be identified without their parents' permission.
Keeping guides up to date
Each place shows the date our team last checked it, or that it hasn't been checked yet. We revise pages when a parent, venue or our own checks tell us something has changed, and we recheck time-sensitive details such as seasons, timings and prices. Places we believe may be out of date or closed are marked as such rather than left silently.
Corrections
If you spot something wrong or out of date, please report a correction or write to hello@peekago.com with the page link and what you found. We check every report against the sources and correct the page when it is wrong, updating its date.
Independence and no paid rankings
A place does not need a commercial relationship with us to be included, and we never accept payment to feature a place, rank it higher or change what we say about it. Peekago does not currently show advertising or use affiliate links. If we add either in future, they will be clearly labelled and kept separate from our recommendations.
Safety information
Age fit, pacing and suggested routes are practical planning advice, not a safety certification or medical advice. Please read our disclaimer.
